The unit 4 was about lesson planning and we were introduced to 3 types of lesson plans: PPP(Prepare Present Produce), Task based and skill based. Out of the three lesson plan types, I personally like task based lesson plan. It has various advantages over the other methods as it focuses more on the real communication. The students are put in the real life situations as per their needs and they learn while completing the tasks. This method is interesting, engaging and encourage them to learn on their own. Apart from this, I think, this method is best suited for mixed ability classes where students of different abilities work together or individually in the same situation and learn about their needs and learn to fulfil those needs.
I agree that it would be quite difficult for a teacher to plan this lesson and find the appropriate material especially for a new teacher.
If the goal of the class is to learn the grammar concepts, then PPP approach would be best. I would say it all comes down to the learner's needs and goals.

I can not imagine that I am going to complete my fourth TESL course. This course was definitely very interesting for me. I learned the importance of teaching grammar and various grammar teaching methodologies. It developed a better understanding on providing corrective feedback and assessment. Finally, I managed to develop a lesson plan putting all my learning together.
