Listening Activity

Objective:

This activity is for the students of intermediate level (CLB7-8). The students will listen to two people discussing how life seems different in Colombia and Ecuador. The goal of this activity is to make students comfortable listening to conversations and look for the required information.

Time: 15 minutes

Activity:

Step 1: Ask the students to discuss the potential differences that can be in two countries. For example, the difference in language, culture, food etcetera. Ask the students to form a list of at least 6 differences.

Step 2: Handover the question sheet to the students and discuss the questions and give them hints on what they need to listen for.

Step 3: Play the Audio and ask the students to answer the questions.

Step 4: Replay the audio again and ask them to confirm their answers.

Step 5: Discuss the answers with them. You can also discuss the vocabulary or any part of the audio that students were unable to understand.
